The City of Manzanillo is consolidating itself as an important venue for international sports competitions, and it was demonstrated at the Tenth International Triathlon Grand Festivall Manzanillo 2017, which was organized by the hotel in coordination with the state and municipal governments.
Last February 11th the Tenth International Gran Festivall Manzanillo 2017 Triathlon
took place with more than 850 competitors and thousands of spectators that gathered on the beach of Miramar to witness the competition from starting to end.
The International Triathlon was won in the elite women category, by Cecilia Perez, while the second place went to Paola Diaz and the third place to Adriana Carreño.In the elite male category, Irving Pérez was the first; second, David Mendoza and third place, Miguel Márquez.
Stands out that Maria del Carmen Zurroza Magaña from Colima conquered the class 25-29 years of the Grand Festivall International Triathlon Manzanillo 2017, and with that confirms her classification to the 2017´s World Championship in Rotterdam. Also Horacio Adame Flores may get his place to that competition thru his second place at the Universities Olympic games in the 18-24 years old category.
We hope that in the next edition of this Triathlon our director Conrado Bielsa and his wife Graciela Torre will return to the competition, as they always have done except for this Tenth Edition
